Do I need any prior experience to join a class?
No experience needed! Our beginner workshops are designed specifically for first-timers, covering basic centering, shaping, and glazing techniques step-by-step.
Is clay safe for sensitive skin or allergies?
Yes, natural pottery clay is non-toxic and water-soluble. However, if you have extremely dry skin, we recommend applying a barrier cream before class and moisturizing afterward.
How long does it take to get my finished piece back?
Pieces typically take 2 to 3 weeks. They need time to dry completely before undergoing two separate firings (bisque and glaze firing) in the kiln.
What should I wear to a pottery session?
Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, and trim your fingernails for easier clay handling. We provide aprons, but clay can still splash!
Are the finished ceramic pieces food- and dishwasher-safe?
Yes, all glazes provided in our studio are non-toxic, lead-free, and fully safe for food, microwave, and dishwasher use once fired.
